The PolyU library opened on 1 August 1972. It operated two centers in Quarry Bay and Hung Hom before settling into one building in 1976. In 1995, the PolyU Library was named Yue-Kong Pao Library. It is home to over 3,900 study spaces, an audio-visual information center, and an archival repository. The university also owns PolyU’s hotel Icon. This hotel is run by the School of Hotel and Tourism Management.
